The following is a copy of the entry for Chiddingly Church in the Wealden DC Listed Buildings catalogue.

"The Parish Church.  Built of ashlar with ashlar faced tower, slated roofs.  Chancel, nave with aisles, north porch and west tower.  Nave and aisles C13th; tower and stone spire C15th, restored in 1897; chancel and porch 1864.  [Good monument to Sir John Jefferay, died 1577 and similar Jefferay monuments of 1612 and 1620.  Grade I for the stone spire, uncommon in Sussex].  Kingpost roof.  Later C18th pulpit, box pews."

NB   The other stone spires are at Dallington and Northiam.
