MASS DIALS at Chiddingly Church

Return to Chiddingly Church home page

This one is half way up the stonework of the right hand hand side of
the south door.  The hour markings around the bottom of the hole for the gnomon are not very distinct.

This one is about 8 feet high, under the west eaves of the south aisle.  It would appear that
it is in a stone that has been moved from elsewhere and was used when the south aisle
was constructed.

The lines marking the hours are fairly clearly visible when you look at the dial.
