These are the Arms of King George IV  (1820 - 1830).

This is believed to be the work of Mark Antony Lower, son of Richard Lower, the schoolmaster
and noted Sussex antiquarian, made around 1820 - 1830.

The top inscription reads GEO IV  REX

and the bottom inscription reads THOMAS GUY     JAMES NOAKES   Churchwardens.
